Technical Analysis combines several methods of technical analysis to derive a technical rating on stocks and indices.
Here at Guru Technical Analysis, we have combined traditional methods along with regression analysis and weighting system based on strength to provide a technical rating. Note that none of our indicators use standard setting and none of the settings can be optimized. The result is a clean, proprietary technical research rating system to indicate bullish and bearish expectations.
A technical rating of 3 is issued when all analytic indicators are in alignment for expected positive price movement. Conversely, a rating of -3 is issued when negative price performance is to be expected.
A zero indicates neutral or caution; a stock or index could have been moving positively, been over bought, overstepped the upper Bollinger band and subsequently be assigned a 0 rating. In this case, 0 cautions holders of that stock or index to be vigilant in their investment thesis to ensure that unexpected market moves do not catch the investor unaware.
